In Calc, when I type a cell entry that is similar to one in the

If there are several similar entries above it, is there a way to get
a drop-down list to chose an alternative?
For example in cell a1,to a3, Smith, Tom; Smith, Dick; and Smith
Harry. Then in cell a4 I key in an "S" then I get the suggestion to
autocomplete as "Smith, Dick". What I would like to have is a
drop-down list where I can choose "Smith, Tom" or "Smith, Harry."
Using OxygenOffice 2.3.1 on WinXP.
Without typing anything, type Ctrl+D and you will see a list of the
available AutoInput text items for the current column. You can then
use the arrow keys or the mouse to select the one you require.
Alternatively, after you have typed something and when you see the
suggestion, you can scroll through the available items (without
seeing a list): forwards using Tab and backwards using Shift+Tab.
I trust this helps.
