You never need to *purchase* OpenOffice. It's completely free. Free to use in any context you like on as many computers as you want; free to give to others; free. You can download it from the OpenOffice web site: www.openoffice.org and then press the big green "get openoffice.org" button. If you have a slow/unreliable/expensive internet connection you can order it on CD; press the same green button but then choose Order OpenOffice on CD. Note that we offer *no* recommendations or guarantees about any of the vendors listed. Expect to pay only a small amount for the CD plus something for P&P. If you don't get what you paid for, your dispute is *entirely* between you and the vendor. That is not to say that the vendors on the list are anything but honourable. Alternatively OpenOffice is often distributed on the CDs/DVDs that come free with computer magazines; just make sure you choose a magazine that covers your Operating System. Support for OpenOffice is also free via this mailing list which is run by users who volunteer their time to help other users. If you want to make a monetary contribution, please do at http://contributing.openoffice.org/donate.html but you will never be nagged to do so. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
