OpenOffice.org can not yet open docx (or xlsx or ppsx) files. Novell has this capacity already, or you can use the online http://docx-converter.com/ (if your data isn't too confidential). OOo 2.4should be capable to read and save in the MS 2007 format. BTW this list is in English.
