Hello,
An error message appears when I try to use OpenOffice.org.1 stating:
Get Storage, Name: "No Content! What does this mean and how can I fix
it?
Is OpenOffice.org.1 included with my internet service through peoplepc?
I don't recall having this before and thought I had Microsoft word
instead. Does your product need to be downloaded separately from my
internet service? I guess I am confused on just how I got this product
and now I don't have Microsoft word to write letters, etc. Thanks for
your help.
Debbie
Hi Debbie
No idea how you had this installed, but the answer to your immediate
problem can be found at
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/FAQ/General#How_do_I_fix_the_internal_error.2C_Get_Storage:_No_Content.3F
OpenOffice.org is a free, but very reliable and capable potential
substitute for MS Office.
The current version is 2.3.1, which is much newer than the 1x series,
and doesn't seem to suffer the error you report.
Have a look at http://www.openoffice.org and you will find lots of
information about the program, including download links should you wish
to proceed to upgrade.
