I tried 2 different CD's and they both work fine. I inserted the oo.o CD 5 times and nothing. My only question remaining is: Since I did download oo.o 2.31, did I get all the files the CD in the magazine contained? (Dictionary, and other add-on's, etc)

If so, the magazine publisher may have a replacement available. Can you verify it's the CD and not the drive that's defective, by reading a different CD?
