First of all let me say Open Office has been a life saver for me several
times and I think it is only fair to share this idea with you. With your
great and I mean great staff of developers, it would take downloads and
publicity to a new height if you would develop a database to auto format
the writting styles such as APA, MLA, that other funny named one and so on
and so on. This would get your student population onboard and what ever
the students use the parents use and thus the wave starts to roll. This
would force a certain Tycoon to ante up. I spread the word about
openoffice every chance I get 36 people that were going to buy this
certain Office program all "ALL" downloaded and used your program instead
and almost broke my neck hugging and thanking me for the money I or you
shall I say saved them and I am, quite sure you got a few 1000 downloads
after that. Back to the subject though APA style writting is the most
complicated crap ever imagined, the databases will make it simple. Lets
say yo get everything in the text body correct, now you gotta deal with
those damn references and citation in the text and on and on........ This
is just an idea that I couldn't hold on to any longer hopefully it
something you can use and it helps your cause once again thank you all for
this great piece of work.
Sincerely
Mr. Tracey Isom
