Macs come with JRE installed. Open your OpenOffice.org. Click on 'OpenOffice.org' (left side of menu bar), click 'Preferences'. Under the heading "OpenOffice.org" click 'Java'. Put a check mark in the box beside "Use a Java runtime environment". If no JRE's show in the box of already installed JREs, click 'Add' and locate your JRE. It should be in Applications/Utilities.
