    I assume you saved the web page containing your bank statement. That is an 
html file. You did not really want to do that.
    Here is something that might work: it did for me just now. The bank 
statement itself was in a table form. Use the cursor to highlight all the 
cells in that table. Use Control+C to copy the information in the table. Open 
an empty Calc file in OpenOffice.org. If you want to have headings in the 
first row, click in cell A2. Use Control+V to paste the information into the 
spreadsheet.
    And I just thought of this. You could create a spreadsheet for each year 
by creating 12 sheets in the file: one for each month of the year. Then copy 
and paste the information into the proper sheet each month.
