Just out of curiosity, why are you not using Base for this? It seems to me
that a form with a subform would work. Queries and Reports would then provide
access to this data.

As I mentioned in my last paragraph above, I tried looking into that
before (2.0.4) and could not find a way to get the report writer to do
what I want. I definitely need to understand subforms and also how to
generate reports that will suit the various audiences for the data, and
I know there were major modifications to the report writer in 2.3. I've
got lots of queries, and that's where I do most of my work other than
the final output. The main problem is that all this has to be done on a
fairly tight schedule every month, so I've pretty much found something
that works and run with it. Sometime early next month, though, I may
have time to do some more investigation. I'll put together a description
of what I've got and what I'm trying to do with it -- off-list, maybe?
