| Hello, | | I am using version 2.3 of OpenOffice. | | I cannot get the spell checker to work in Writer or Draw programs. It | won't work in manual mode or automatic mode, that is as you type. I | have set the default language to English Au. | | Incidentally, I also have the same problem with OpenOffice portable | edition (re PortableApps.com) | | Can you help? | | Thank you. | | Geoff Pelly You can install dictionaries via "File -> Wizards -> Install new dictionaries...", but to obtain the latest Australian dictionary I recommend you visit this page: http://www.justlocal.com.au/clients/oooau and scroll down to the links for the OOo dictionary. When you have the dictionary installed visit this page: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=67 for more information about configuring language options in OOo. You should be able to use the same procedure for the Portable Apps edition. Hope this helps.
