I know this isn't particularly helpful, but when I went through this process, it "worked for me".

I created a sheet of labels, using File > New > Labels, selecting a database, etc. etc.

Then I clicked in one of the labels, pressed F11, the only style that displayed was Default, I right-clicked it and selected modify. Then I changed the font in the style. The font was then changed in all of the labels, not just the one I was in at the time.

I can't offer any insights as to why this process is not working for you.

I did this. When I pressed F11, default was highlighted.
I did the right-click, modify, changed to Ariel 18 point.
It worked in that label.
But it still seems I have to do it separately for each label.
My label sheet (Avery 5266) has I think 14 rows, 28 labels.
I have to change it 28 times for each sheet.
Are there any other clues you might give me?
Thank,
Helen

Hi Helen

Would setting up a font replacement for Thorndale help?
See Tools-Options-Fonts. This should solve your problem.

When you say it "reverts" do you mean after saving or when you try to
do
the same process again on a new document?

Use the F11 key to open the Styles and Formating window. Click in one
of
your labels, and then look at the list in the Styles and Formating window.
One of them should be "highlighted" to show it is selected. Right click it
and select Modify from the context menu. Using the Font tab, change the
font
to Arial 12pt. Click OK. All of the labels should now be using this font.
