This is a java installation error. 1. *Uninstall* java from your system & reinstall directly from Sun. See: http://download.openoffice.org/common/java.html and to download a clean version go here: http://www.java.com/en/ 2. Download the OOo version *without* Java (uncheck the box "Include the Java JRE with this download". 3. Now install OOo and you should be fine. BTW: you are not subscribed to this mailing list.
