As someone already commented here.. Evolution will work for most of what you need. It can (relatively) easily plug into an existing Exchange server, and the functionality and even workflow is close enough to Outlook to be familiar. I used Evolution (running on an openSUSE Linux desktop) in a previous job and had no issues.
