Too bad. Why? Why can't there be software for Linux only?
There is lots of software that only runs under Linux.
I don’t see that it is at all “too bad” that someone has modified open
source software to run under another system than that for which it was
written. That people are allowed and encouraged to do this kind of thing
is one of the reasons why open source software should be encouraged.
Anyone can modify it for their own purposes.
It is anything but “too bad” when this happens.
It does not yet work on Vista (but what does)
Most programs that worked under Windows XP work fine under Windows
Vista, including OpenOffice.org. Don’t exagerate the Vista problems that
apply to a few programs only. There are enough ignorant Windows weenies
and Linux weenies now.
