Hello Sigrid/ Lars,

Thanks for your prompt response, well in my last email I asked about
"Links", actually I was talking about the DDE Link which can be created
using Excel to link information between cells, worksheets or workbooks.
Creating a Link is the accurate way to ensure data accuracy by utilizing
automatic updating and recalculation. I know Calc also has a Link feature
but my concern is compatibility between Excel's DDE Link and Calc DDE
Link, If I migrate from Excel to Calc, the Calc will support Excel's
sheets existing Link ?

I have tried opening Excel DDE link in Calc but it does not work, So I
just want to make sure if I am doing something wrong or if there is any
other possible way to make Excel existing DDE Link work with Calc without
re-creating a Link again in Calc.

Thanks & Kind Regards,

Syed M. Hussain

Not sure, what you mean with "Links". Do you just talk about links to
websites? If yes, yes, these links work with OOo and MS Excel. For
macros, you'll have to redo it. Excel and OOo "speak a different
language", so OOo won't know, what you want to achieve with your Excel
macro. But the macro-code that was inserted by Excel won't be deleted
by OOo.

Hope, this helps you.
