1. There is no such version as X.Y; all versions are numeric like 2.0.4. or 2.3.1. Please say which version you are using. 2. OpenOffice does not need any passwords. If you choose to save a document with a password and then forget that password then nobody can help you. There are programs that will try to guess your password You can use a search engine like Google or Yahoo to find them. Perhaps you bought OpenOffice from some organisation that sells it; normally it is free but people are allowed to charge for it if they like and if the buyer is willing to pay.
