Hello John, You can download OpenOffice.org for free from the official OOo site: http://download.openoffice.org/2.3.1/index.html?focus=download If you have space to spare, you can leave the MS Office trial version on you hard disk, or you can uninstall it as you would other programs. OpenOffice.org will read, edit and save your doc, xls and pps files (not yet the newer format docx etc.). It is a complete office suite as MS Office, but doesn't work exactly the same. There is a lot of inbuild and online help available, and you won't feel to uneasy about the differences I suppose.
