There is a Office2007 to Office 2003/XP/2000 FileFormatConverters.exe file (28MB) on http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=941B 3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466. Maybe this can help you, but doc-exchange using only OOo formats is the much simpler and secure way.
