I suspect that the problem was due to the extra '[' in the user name you
requested. Perhaps you mistyped it when you registered but not when you
logged in.
I've asked the forum administrators to remove the other account, as it
is compromised by your inadvertent broadcast.
Jim, the account you created on the OOo Users forum has been removed.
There were no posts, and it had not been activated, so there is no loss
from removing it. You can re-register now.
Sorry for the trouble. It seems the forum should consider providing a
private contact address for people who successfully register but have a
problem logging it. Handling it through a public mailing list doesn't
seem like the right approach! ;-)
Bring it up on the forum feedback Joe :-) Hopefully something can be
changed to make it easier for new users trying to register on the forum.
This case is a good example of how something simple can have rather
dramatic results.
