Joe,
 I am using the y axis to show the memory usage, and the x axis to
show date/time. The problem is that the time spans days, with one
data point every 20 minutes. So, I want the primary x axis to show
the time and the secondary x axis to show the day to which that time
applies.

 Why don't you use the X-Y graph format?  Make the Y-axis the date  
 column, and the X-Axis the time.
