I have just installed OOo v2.3.0 on Linux -- openSUSE v10.3. This is the
general release of OOo, not a National Language version.

Most of my writing is in English. Occasionally I need to write a document
in Hebrew, or to include Hebrew segments in an English document. In the
Options, I have specified Hebrew as the CTL language.

I have searched the Help system for information on CTL, and yet am stymied
one (at the moment) point:

The Help tells me how to change the writing direct from L>R and R>L. No
problem with this, but it doesn't change the CTL characters. Help tells
me that to do that I need to go to Tools>Options>Language
Settings>Languages and select the Default Language. The implication is
that I should be able to choose between the TWO languages listed there,
but (perhaps I am more dense than I thought) there is no way to do that.

Help also tells me how to choose the language per paragraph: Context
Menu>Edit Paragraph Style>Font>Language. Again, there is no obvious way
to choose between the Latin language and the CTL. In any case, I usually
would not want to have to do this for each paragraph in a document.
Surely there is a way to choose for an entire document all at once. What
is it?

I am assuming (because the claim is made that Hebrew is suported) that the
fonts provided are Unicode fonts that contain Hebrew glyphs. If this is
not the case, where can appropriate fonts be found?

The fact is that nowhere in the Help system under either "CTL"
or "Language" have I found specific directions for choosing between Latin
and CTL languages, or any reference on where to look for same. Certainly
there is none in places where a user in need of such instructions would
think to look.
