Your question is confusing. DSL usually refers to a type of internet
connection, but I'm guessing from the question that in this case it is
"Damn Small Linux" which is a variation on linux operating system.

While open Ofice doesn't support the AbiWord native format, Abi Word
can read (and from memory) can write to the ISO standard format which
Open Office uses.

I found from my attempts to open OO files in Abi Word that it doesn't
cope with complex documents- I'm talking about a newsletter with
multiple graphics and text boxes. It should cope with less complex OO
documents.
