Hello, You got me confused when you say you tried to download OpenOffice 10.3... You have an Intel iMac, but you don't specify which version of the Mac OS. Is it Tiger (10.4) or Leopard (10.5) ? Or does this 10.3 mean that you're under Panther? The most recent version for Panther is 2.1.0 http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11-103.html For Tiger and Panther, there are different versions for Intel and PowerPC Macs. You have Intel, so: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11-104-Intel.html (beware when you click: there is a normal download and a bittorrent download) Concerning the X11 window program: • for Panther (10.3) you can download X11 from the Apple wibsite (be sure it's the version for Panther, Mac OS X 10.3) • for Tiger (10.4): X11 sits on the install disk(s). search for X11User.pkg and install • Leopard (10.5) installs X11 by default - it's advisable to update Leopard (10.5.1) because of initial problems with the new X11 (XDarwin or Xquartz) HTH -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.3 m221 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and brazilian OOo SRC 680 m241 on an Intel MacBook Pro Leopard -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
