Hello, I have recently been running OpenOffice 2.3 without any issues, and finally decided to download the upgrade for 2.3.1. After downloading was complete, I began the installation, which unpacked all of the installation files, and then informed me that it had to close down the current version to install the new one. I granted the permission and it seemed as though it was starting to install, however it will not do anything past configuring the installation. It just doesn't seem to actually install anything. What makes it worse, is that it uninstalled the older version as I now can no longer open any of my office documents or files!
Can someone please provide me with any assistance on how to get this installed? Thank you in advance, Steve
