It's the Wal-Mart linux desktop computer:

gOS is basically Ubuntu with an Enlightenment E17 desktop
(http://www.enlightenment.org/p.php?p=about/e17&l=en) rather then Gnome
or KDE. The updates & files used are directly from the Ubuntu repos with
some small modifications. It appears that they are running the
Ubuntu'ized 2.3.0 version of OOo - don't know for sure yet as I'm still
downloading the gOS iso.

For David: you can ask questions at the faqly link I provided
(http://www.faqly.com/faq/view/id/34), however if you wish to learn how
to use OOo please spend some time on the OpenOffice.org website in the
documentation sections. These links should help to get you started:

  http://documentation.openoffice.org/

To learn about what is under the green desktop cover, I recommend that
you spend some time on the Ubuntu websites:

http://ubuntu.com
  http://ubuntuforums.org/
[You can even ask questions about E17 and gOS there as well.]

Also note, that because the Ubuntu/gOS version of OOo has been modified
from the OpenOffice.org version, you should probably review the Ubuntu
bug lists first in the event of problems with (U)OOo:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/

I note that you said:

"Openoffice came preinstalled on the Everex gPC TC2502 computer. It is
also a single worked based computer and will not be connected to the net."

You'll need to occasionally connect the computer to the internet to
receive security and other updates.
