You'll find the French counterpart at http://fr.openoffice.org En bref, il faut dan la fenêtre de dialogue Sauvegarder ou Sauvegarder Comme choisir le type de fichier Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP et vérifier si la case Ajouter Extension du Nom de Fichier Automatiquement est cochée. OpenOffice.org ne sais pas encore lire, modifier et sauver dans le nouveau format MS Office 2007. English: see French at http://fr.openoffice.org By default, OpenOffice.org uses the ISO standard Open Document Format, with the extension odt (ods for spreadsheet, odp for presentation...). MS Office cannot read this international standard. If you want your correspondants that are locked in by MS to read your documents, save them als .doc (or xls, etc.). To do this, you do the following in the Save or Save As dialog: • in File Type choose 'Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP' • see that the Automatic Filename Extension is ticked (down right in dialog box) For the moment OpenOffice.org cannot read, edit or save files in the MS Office 2007 formats (docx, xlsx,...). Ask your correspondents to use the previous doc, xls etc. formats.
