And, unlike MSOffice, Master Document in OOo doesn't seem to have ANY of 
the data-loss or -trashing problems MSO has.  The approach by OOo was 
done properly.  I've found it invaluable.
   IMO it's not complex but requires a slightly different attitude 
toward using it.

And nothing to do with Master Document mode:
   The only big "problem" I've personally found with OOo is it seems to 
have issues with single file sizes greater than about ten Meg in size 
IFF the file contains graphics, especially in tables.  It's a recognized 
issue and is under investigation.  The workaround is to split large 
files into smaller ones under ten Meg in size.  An annoyance, but 
workable.
