Hello all, First of all, I would like to apologize, because I suspect this message would best go to a bug reporting tool, but as the matter is relatively urgent I'm hoping to get some help here. My client has the following setup:
On a Windows XP machine, he uses OOorg Writer (2.3) and uses "File/Send/E-mail as Microsoft Word" to send documents from Thunderbird (2.0.0.9). This has been working perfectly well for a while now. All of a sudden, he started getting the following message when he tries to send a document from the File menu: "OpenOffice.org was unable to find a working e-mail configuration." When he gets the message, Thunderbird still fires up (if it wasn't loaded before), but no new message is created. I checked everything in Windows configuration, including default programs in Control Panel/Network, and everything seemed set on Thunderbird. Finally, I realized that Google's Picasa was recently installed on the system and that it was setup to send photos as e-mail attachments from Thunderbird. I cannot claim that this is the problem, as I don't supervise the machine, nor I have experience with Micros~1 or Google's offline products, but it seems logical. Which leads me to another problem: I can't uninstall Picasa and see if it's working, because my client spent a lot of time tinkering about Picasa and setting it up to his needs. Besides, I've no idea how Window's registry works. So, my questions are: 1) Is Picasa a possible cause (in which case I know I should go to their bug reporting thing)? Did anyone have it before and did they solve it somehow? 2) Did anyone experience any other reasons why sending documents as an attachment suddenly stopped working?
