It sounds as though the OP worked on and saved a scratch copy created 
by the mailer in a temp directory. Probably lost, but it might be 
worth searching under C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME for .odt (?) 
files (windows xp assumed! Is this different for vista?).

(I'm not clear whether the OP is subscribed or not - he might like to 
consider whether to in order to make sure of receiving any other 
responses).
