Hello, I tried to download OpenOffice.org for the Mac from this link: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/download/x11-104-Intel.html and have no problem with it. (click on the left link, the right part is the bittorrent download) I suppose you already have Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5.1) on your MacBook Pro. In that case, the X11 windowing program is already installed on your computer. If you run into a 'time-out' when you try to open OpenOffice.org, it maybe a better solution to first open the X11 program (you'll find it in Programs>Utilities) and then open OOo. (If your MB Pro came with Tiger, Mac OS X 10.4.x) read the How-To install X11 on the page above - X11User.pkg can be found on your Tiger install disk(s)). If you bump into other problems, post them back here on the list. Good luck, -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.3 m221 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and brazilian OOo SRC 680 m241 on an Intel MacBook Pro Leopard -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
