Upon receiving and installing OpenOffice from the ordered CD, I began to transfer Word Pro files. After 12-15 transfers, they quite suddenly disappeared, as did the listing line for OpenOffice under My Documents, Desktop, etc.
Where did they disappear to and why? Are they in any way recoverable?! Dan
