It depends upon what OS the tablet PC are using. As others have already
mentioned, you can legally install OpenOffice.org on any computer. The only
question is whether the OS on your tablet PC will run OOo or not. But since
it is a variation of Windows XP, it probably should.
I would recommend you download a copy of OOo and see if you can install
it. If it installs, open some of the applications and test them.
And above all else, please report your results and any additional
questions to this mailing list. That way we will know whether OOo will run on
a tablet PC or not.
