You can use exactly the same method you use to insert a picture in
the
main body. Move the cursor on the header, select Insert > picture >
from file, then adjust the position and anchoring as needed.

Hi Sam,
I think you will find that it is more restricted in Calc. You could
try and do it as a background image within the header?
