Are you attempting to print a Calc spreadsheet? This message occurs when there is nothing in the spreadsheet that Calc thinks you want to be printed. Have you set up a print range? If so, Calc will print only what is within this print range. To remove this, go to Format | Print Ranges > | Remove. Note in particular that a print range applies to the whole spreadsheet, not just an individual sheet. So if you set a print range on one sheet, nothing on other sheets will print unless you add them, too, to the print range.

See also the setting at Tools | Options... | OpenOffice.org Calc | Print | Sheets | Print only selected sheets. (You can also access this "on the fly" by using the Options... button in the print dialogue.) If you have this ticked, even what is in the print range will not print if you have another sheet of your spreadsheet selected when you carry out the print operation.

I trust this helps.
