Hell all, If it is just about troublesome language handling pleaase have a look at the following spec (things should become easy): http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/linguistic/Set_Language_Attribute_for_Text.odt
And wait for OOo 2.4 where it will become available. Or, if you can't wait, get the latest developer build and get a sneak preview.
