What do you mean by "her editing software"? is she not using Word 2003 as her "editing software"? If so, just make sure that you save the document as Microsoft word 97/2000/XP. Word 2003 (if that is indeed what she is using - if not, you need to find out exactly what she IS using) will open those as default....

BTW, there IS no "Word 2003 doc" format......MS uses Word 97-2003 or docx formats...

Also make sure the ext is dot doc  (.filename.doc)
