To whom this may concern,
My name is Donna Calvin, my granddaughter emailed me word. open office.org 2.3.
I need to install everything I'm going to be useing, like copy and past, cut & past, margins. etc, everything that is need to function with word. I have no idea on how to install any of the
programs needed in word, can you help me with this issue. Hope I explained it, so you can
understand what I am asking. Tried to cut and paste my resume for a job yesturday, That is when I discovered that I need to install all the stuff I need to be functional on word.
I assume your granddaughter sent you a Word document and not OpenOffice,
as it's far too big for most email systems to handle. Perhaps she sent
you a link to download it. OpenOffice is a full office suite that
comparable to and compatible with Microsoft Office. You install it by
downloading it from www.openoffice.org. When the download is complete,
you install it (assuming you're running Windows) by double clicking on
the downloaded file, to start the installation process. After the
installation is complete, you should she an OpenOffice folder and icons
in your Start menu. Incidentally, the word processor in OpenOffice is
called "Writer", not Word, though it can read and write Word files,
other than the latest .DOCX format.
I hope this is enough to get you started. If not please ask here again
for more assistance.
