I hope this isn't too late for your sunday sermon :-) Try this: 1. Keep the page as portrait. 2. Create a 5.5.x 8.5 frame on the page: Insert|Frame - set Width to 8.5 & Height to 5.5 3. Copy the frame (right click along the frame line - the one with the green squares) and paste. No you have two frames on top of each other. Put the mouse over the frame until the cursor turns into a hand. Now move the frame to position at the top & move the other frame to position at the bottom. You now have 2 frames on the page & you can type your sermon in both. When you print, it will print in portrait mode, but the text will be divided so you can cut the sheet in the middle & put in your notebook. If you want your text to go the other way, modify for a landscape print. Alternately, you can keep the format of the pages as standard and then print in brocure mode. See Help - brochures: <quote> Printing a Brochure You can print a Writer document as a brochure or a booklet. That is, Writer prints two pages on each side of the paper, so that when you fold the paper, you can read the document as a book. When you create a document that you want to print as a brochure, use portrait orientation for the pages. Writer applies the brochure layout when you print the document. </quote> -- You have been cc'd on this post as you have posted to an open OOo mailing list. Sorry if the copy and paste (above) is messy I find that a booklet printout is very difficult to folow until you have cut it into its various pages. There is a second alternative If you set the page as landscape and select to use 2 columns then I have almost the same effect. Personally I choose to have a line down the middle of the page to show the separator between the pages and cut along this with a sharp blade. The problem with this method is page numbering. You can set up a page number on both sides of the page but it is the same. I use a suffix of "a" for the right hand side and then I can put the notes together if they get separated. Hint I use Comic Sans font as it is more readable. Strange name for a font to use in preaching but that is my preference. I use A4 paper as I am from the UK and when you cut it in two you have A5 and A5 binders are available to store the old messages. I hope that helps Rob --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
