Hello,

Select the text box, go to the custom animation in the task pane and assign
to the text box the animation Appear (you can change it later for another
one if so desired).

Click on the button with three dots to open the advanced settings for the
animation, go to the text animation tab and select in the first drop down
box "By 1st level paragraphs".

OK to return to the presentation.

You can check the Impress documentation at www.oooauthors.org. The chapter
on transition effects of the Impress guide has an example that shows you
step by step how to do it.
