Hello Eddie,

This is a package deal. The components of OpenOffice.org need each other to
function properly. So you can't just download or install only Base.
You can use Writer / HTML-Writer to work on html files (personally, I prefer
to use the composer of SeaMonkey...).

(do some reading first, to decide whether you want the version that uses X11
windowing program, or the -still experimental- Aqua version - I guess it's
better now to go for the Aqua version and keep it updated... as we're
nearing the release of a stable version. Work on the X11 version is now
slowed down)
