This is not a normal error so it may be difficult to answer.
Does this happen with only one or two fonts, or with every font? (I
don’t know of any font that even has a backwards capital L.)
How are you entering the £ symbol? From a keyboard that contains a £
symbol on one of the keys or via some other method?
What operating system are you using: that is which version of Linux,
Windows, Macintosh or whatever?
What version of OpenOffice.org are you using? Check under Help -> About
Open Office and supply the full version that appears in small type.
Do you get the same problem with any editors or other word processing
programs you have installed on your system?
