Do you actually mean that when you saved a spreadsheet document that you've
been working with, the whole OpenOffice.org suite disappeared, or just the
spreadsheet document?

So, I downloaded it again, because I desperately needed it for my homework.

Exactly what did you download?

This time it was just a spreadsheet, with nothing printed at the top, but

Are you talking about a spreadsheet template or something? because you can
not download only the spreadsheet part (called Calc) of OpenOffice.org.
There is no such option and if it was it would either be almost as big as
the whole OpenOffice.org suite or it wouldn't work very well.

This time I tried to print it, so I wouldn't lose the work I had done, but

This sounds incredible. What do you mean? The the suite crash, did it
uninstall itself, did its icons disappear or what?

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong because I know I'll need that

The spreadsheet document or the spreadsheet part of the OpenOffice.orgsuite?

I'd really appreciate any time and trouble you go to so I can be set up

Please be more specific and give us more details. It's also good to know
what operating system you are using (although I think that some flavour of
Windows is a good guess) and what version of OpenOffice.org you are using (
2.3.1?).

Obviously something is wrong on your system, since no one else has these
problems. It could be a driver or something, or maybe you are just doing
something the wrong way, it's really hard to know until more details are
provided.
