I am new to using OpenOffice.Org 2.3. I have just completed my first, fairly large, database in Base. In attempting to reduce the size of a column I went too far and accidently slid one column beneath another. The column shows up in table design and there is a slightly thicker line where the column used to be. It contains quite a lot of data. Ideas for finding it please. In very simple, step by step language please!! I have tried Hide/unhide column and it's not there.

This is an interesting one! This worked for me:

o Go to Help and ensure that Tips is ticked.
o Hover your mouse over the header row of field names in the region of the obscured column. If you are patient, the field name of the missing column should appear as a tip.
o Right-click the mouse and select Column Width... .
o Make sure that none of the visible columns is selected. If one is, you have missed the buried column; return to the previous step and try again.
o In the Column Width panel, either tick Automatic or set a suitable width.

I trust this helps.
