You don't say whether the problem is occurring with only one format that used to work correctly or if all formats you use are now working incorrectly. This could be helpful to identifying and resolving the problem. Also is the problem happening with only one mouse/touch pad/track point on one computer? If so try a different mouse or try a mouse instead of the touch pad/track point. If that resolves the problem then it is most likely a hardware issue. If you've eliminated the pointing device as the problem and still suspect OpenOffice then perhaps the following workaround will at least enable you to continue working until someone else can offer a solution. Move the mouse beyond the edge of the program window and click on the desktop or the window of another program then go back to working in the program the mouse was misbehaving in.
