Greetings; A triplet of questions actually.
1. I see the java version is the Iced tea thing. I had to revert to the real java the last time because there were things Iced Tea silently failed at. Both are installed, and the tools->options->java detects both. It doesn't save that but finds it fresh everytime & while there is nothing wrong with that, will it choose the correct version automaticly, or the wrong one and fail? 2. The menu installer(s) mostly died a horrible death, and the one that did work, did not work correctly and I had to edit all 6 kde menu entries to get it to work. This was the result of its finding and upgrading the /opt/openoffice.org2.3 install, and which I had to edit the kde menu's for in order for it to work when that was installed shortly afte 2.3.1 came out. Its menu updater should have used the path string where it found the older install, and in fact could have just left what I had alone and it would have worked. Nothing was actually changed. 3. The default menu entry has an '%U' appended, and which I did not maintain when I edited the paths to the executables and added the 'work path' entry also. What is the purpose of this '%U' appendage? -- Cheers, Gene "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
