Disability Discrimination Act 1995. A godsend to those of us - I believe the
PC term is - differently abled.

I have to be supplied with material I can read. I can now even get insurance
policy booklets in large print!!

The criteria are that one must not be locked out of something because of a
disability. Hence all those ramps that suddenly appeared in shops. There
are things which cannot be compensated for, of course. But the law requires
that what can be done, must be done.

And written material has to be available in large print or braille if anyone
asks for it. (Look on the back of the next council leaflet of any kind that
you lay your hands on.) And in sharp contrast, if that is what one needs.
