I installed DEBs from a mirror and installed after a brief trip through dependency purgatory. I had the debian version of OOo 2.3 installed and even after I removed all Openoffice packages there was a problem with base. It conflicted with a package called hsqldbn which I finally tracked down and purged. Now I just have to work out how to stop synaptic from trying to install the debian version when 2.4 makes it into "testing." -- God bless you, Keith Bates www.new-life.org.au If you don't have a reason to live JESUS IS THE ANSWER!
