I was using Open office 2.2 then when the problem of not being able to insert a
new record occurred. To try and get around the problem I downloaded the 2.4
version and the same problem recurred.

Details of the problem: Part one: In the 2.2 version I had created and
registered an address book using the form wizard to create form fields for an
address book. I used the form to input 96 mailing addresses which I then
successfully used to create and print mailing labels. Later I wanted to add
other addresses to the OO data base source using the same form and data base
and the error message comes up every time: error inserting new record SQL
status: HY000. When I originally set up the data source file I chose the option
to allow for editing and adding new data.

Part two of the problem is that my email addresses from Outlook express
appeared in my OO address database file and when deleting them some completely
different email contacts were erased from my Outlook email contact list. At
the same time a whole string of mail user contacts corresponding to my address
book entries in OO appeared in my Outlook express contact list where I do not
want them since I want to keep this as an email list only. So it would seem
that these two databases are somehow linked. Please tell me how to unlink
them. Around the time these two lists were getting mixed together I got an OO
message that the OO address database file had crashed. OO then recovered it
but again I was not able to input new addresses using the form. The same SQL
error message appears.

I would love to be able to use the address book function so would appreciate
your help in finding the solution. Please send information about getting past
the error message. I have checked the manuals for more info on address book
databases in OO but can't find anything that applies. Please assist. Thanks.
