On your laptop: 1. Choose which e-mail client you want to use - Thunderbird, Outlook Express, Seamonkey, kmail, mutt, ... 2. Configure that program with your desired e-mail address, server details etc. which you will obtain from the "@..." organisation. 3. On Windows you need to ensure that this e-mail client is set as the "default" e-mail client; not sure about *nix, Mac, ... Now, when you click Send in OpenOffice your just-configured e-mail client will be invoked with the current OpenOffice document as an attachment and the "from:" address set to the address you established in #2 above. This is how it works on Windows. On *nix or Mac you may need to configure OpenOffice to tell it which e-mail program to use. That'll be in Tools>Options somewhere - not sure where because it doesn't exist in my Windows version of OOo. If you are using *nix or Mac and need more details, here's the place to ask but, please, be specific about which version of everything you are using. -- Harold Fuchs London, England Please reply *only* to [email protected]
