I tried loading this program and after 40 minutes of waiting it told me the download was not succesful, please advise, thanks
It is a very large download. Depending upon your OS (Operating System - eg. Linux, Mac, Solaris, Windows, etc.) it is in excess of 100Mb and on a broadband Internet connection, it is likely to take more than an hour to complete the download.
I would recommend that you use a "download manager" program. See: http://download.openoffice.org/common/downloadtools.htmlIf you have a dial-up or restricted connection, you might wish to obtain the software on CD. See the following link:http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/index.html
